Rainbow Falls

Located in Hilo town, Rainbow Falls, or Waianuenue in Hawaiian language, spills over ancient lava rock into the wide Wailuku River, meeting it's destination at Hilo Bay.  Enjoy a morning of shopping on the Bay Front before art class.  Visit Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Musuem to see "The Missing Piece".  A renown mural created by Susun and her young students from Kona.

Onomea Bay

Located on a 4 mile scenic drive, this majestic bay rests along The Hawaiian Botanical Gardens.  Enjoy dramatic coastal views, enjoy a fresh fruit smoothie from a nearby tropical fruit farm, so ono!

Mauna Lani Fish Ponds

Paint in the middle of an ancient fish pond surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of calm water, reflection, jumping fish and the sounds of nature.  Spectacular sunset!

Kailua Town

Paint from a hotel beach park near the Kailua Pier, all the flavors, scents and sounds of Kailua Village, the Queen's Palace and the fishing wall.  Kailua is a Hawaiian word that means "two waters".  Often fresh water springs enter the ocean in this area, creating a blurry underwater image for snorkelers, but a delight to swimmers.

Honokohau Harbor Sunset

Paint near our popular marine harbor beach, where turtles bask in the sun.   Study palms, lava and the ocean movement and get your feet wet amidst the tide pools.  Enjoy a seafood dinner after at the open air restaurant and relax with a lovely Kona sunset.

Birds of Paradise Hilo

Visit these beautiful tropical birds at the rainforest park in Hilo.  Paint a pink cockatoo, a resting toucan, blue and gold macaws, a hyacinth macaw, while peacocks roam the grounds.

Akaka Falls

Perhaps the tallest waterfall on Hawaii Island, this beautiful botanical garden features a winding path of water and rain forest.  Lovely places to paint dreamy landscapes, and immerse yourself in the essence of nature.  Visit Ed's Bakery on the way out in Honomu Village or stop for fresh coconut juice.

Kukio Beach

On the south end of Kukio Bay lies a Hawaiian oasis  at the ocean end of a massive lava flow. Here you will find a serene keiki pond and an abundance of turtles basking in the sun.
